The recent Balawista Surf Lifesaving Event was held in Pangandaran. With teams competing from Java and Bali for the title of club champion for 2014. A good swell was running and blue sky's were enjoyed by competitors and spectators alike. The teams from Bali finished too strongly for the surf lifesaving teams from Java and competitors from Bali took out the majority of awards on the day.
In other news SPORA concluded their 2014 Bronze Lifeguard training programs in Pangandaran with it being a busy time for instructors and attendees. Well done to all who attended the program and congratulations to Wanto who won the SSR surfboard prize.
